In sequoia national park you will find that you have plenty of activities and nature trails to follow. The main feature of this national park is that of the sequoia trees. Additionally you will find other species of plants and trees interspersed among the sequoia to make things interesting. To help visitors get the most from Sequoia National Park there is a well equipped visitor’s center. At the center you will find an information desk where you can find out various facts that you need to know about the park. In Sequoia national park you will find that you can also visit Kings Canyon National park. While these are two different parks they are administered as one park unit. The main reason why this park is famous is due to the trees that are found here. One tree that is quite well known is that of the General Sherman Tree. This tree is considered to be the largest tree on earth.

The other famous tree is one that goes well with the parks name. This tree is that of the Giant Sequoia trees. You will find that the Giant Sequoia tree is found in a place called giant forest. For those of you who want o visit this national park it is located in southern Sierra Nevada.

Among the resident wildlife that you will find in Sequoia national park is that of the American black bear, mule deer and the Douglas squirrels to name but a few. Besides being home to wildlife there are over 240 caves. These caves like the rest of the park can only be accessed by visiting this site by foot – hiking – or via horseback.

William Marsh Rice University (commonly known as Rice University) is a private research university located in Houston, Texas, United States. The campus is located near the Houston Museum District and adjacent to the Texas Medical Center.
